Summer Snacks: Healthy Popcorn!

Image
With garden parties, outdoor movie nights and BBQ with friends, I thought I'd share one of the simplest and tastiest snacks for summer that is actually super healthy! I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure that while growing up in Austria, I've never heard of making your own popcorn. Maybe some people did it back then, but it was definitely not common. My family usually bought one of those microwave popcorn boxes which also tasted pretty nice, but with all those superficial additives it was not really healthy. Now that I'm living in London, I feel like cooking healthy/vegan/ with other cultural influences is much easier than in Austria. It might just be the fact that many people from different countries live together in such a big city, unlike the very small village I grew up in- or just the change of people I've been hanging out with. My friend Lani told me about this super simple method of making your own popcorn and I didn't really believe it

Wakey Wakey Eggs and Bakey! My Morning Routine.

In my opinion, how you spend your morning can have a huge impact on how the rest of your day is going. So I decided to transform a super popular video on youtube in a blog post! I'm not exactly a morning person and on weekends I love to stay in bed until midday, therefore I force myself to get up super early on week days, otherwise I feel like I'm unproductive and lazy. My alarm usually goes off at 5:45 am but I only ever manage to get out of bed at 6. Those extra 15 minutes in bed really help me to wake up though and are usually spent cuddling with my boyfriend or scrolling through social media if he hasn't woken up yet. Then I make my way downstairs to my kitchen to make myself some breakfast. I'm not very hungry that early in the morning, so most mornings I go for a casual cup of tea with some granola or a toast with some avocado mash- which I've especially been enjoying since it's getting warmer outside! Depending on the weather I either eat outside

Natural Green Tea Toner

Image
Yesterday I made some new natural skin care products and planned on sharing them in summer but after trying out this natural green tea toner for the first time I just couldn't resist to not share it on here with you guys! I basically combined some ingredients which do nice stuff for my skin and ended up with something magical! I am usually quite hesitant when trying out new toners since I hate the feeling of leaving something on my face-even if I know it doesn't clog up my pores. It makes my skin feel dirty and I always urge to wash it off-which obviously is not how you use toners. I didn't feel like this with the new toner and it makes my skin look amazeballs- so here it is- my recipe for this magical and natural green tea toner! Ingredients: 1/2 cup of freshly brewed green tea 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar 1 tsp. raw honey 5 drops of tea tree oil 8 drops of essential oil (this step is optional- I used orange essential oil to cover up the smell of

DIY Lemon&Sugar Cleansing Paste

Last week I did a post on how to make your own DIY Lemon Toner and today I want to share one of my favourite DIY products ever made! It is really easy and unlike some other DIY skin care recipes you won't need any ingredients that are difficult to get. You might even find every item in your kitchen!  Ingredients:   1 lemon 2 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp raw honey  1 tbsp oil ( I used grape seed oil, but olive oil or coconut oil will do as well) 5 drops of tea tree oil  Why it works: Lemon: Naturally lightens your skin and therefore gets rid of acne scars. Sugar: Exfoliates gently. Honey: Due to its antibacterial feature it's very beneficial for acne/blemish - prone skin. It also soothes your skin and removes redness. Oil: Moisturises gently w
